Greggo Wins Shootmaniac Obstacle Tournament #1

Hats off to Greggo from vVv Gaming as he walks away with the honour of being not only taking first place in our obstacle tournament but in being the winner of the first tournament Shootmanaic has ever run. On top of that first place honour, he walks away with a cool $50. Hopefully he puts the money towards something fun.

We had a great time running the tournament, scheduling errors aside, we had a nice turn out for our first run. What really stood out to us was how many EU players showed up. Due to the nature of the game type not being ping intensive we foresee this as great EU + NA event. On top of that we saw quite a few names not already in the competitive circuit, players who almost exclusively play obstacle maps. We hope to gear up future obstacle events as an international pro and joe tournament.

Thank you to all who participated and expressed interest. Keep your eyes locked on your site for more events.

Please calm down no need to go off on some rant like a child. There was a small error on our part in regards to the time. The tournament was planned for Sunday and said after NESL but unfortunately there was a error in the upper half.

The tournament you guys played in was not casted by myself and I recall the guys who casted it pointing out that there wouldnt be prizes. The next tournament is going to be held a time a bit more resonably for EU players since I assumed delta or ping would like a issue. ( The original plan was to do one NA and then one EU ) Either way relax no need to throw a hissy fit

    -Cheers

They gave no information. What we were told is that they were in contact with the admins and they would post the results to you. They said something on stream on how they didnt know how to do it with the prizes. BUT there was no information in chat on that fact. Neither was there ANY information on any rescheduling of the tournement. The fact is you did not announce the reschedule, we came and competed on schedule and Fisk did a great run even though we EU players had some lagg issues. How can you then do an unnanounced tournement and call greggo the winner. I’m curious on his run times.

A simple update to and the problem would be solved. You could simply tell us we have some issues and need to reschedule the tournement. And we would say OK and go to bed. Yet there was no such information available to us and we were given the impression the tournement was a go.

None of the admins including myself was aware of the mis understanding with the EU players showing up a day prior. No one sent me a message on forums etc etc so the tournament went ahead as scheduled. ( after NESL)

To be honest , having this conversation right now is pointless. It was a mistake from our part , in the upcoming tournament those issues will be addressed.

A few players mostly from the NA scene showed up on Sunday and played and Greggo emerged the winner. Vods of the entire event are on your twitch.tv page.

Fact is what ever tournament you played in even thought it was good good intent did not have admin approval. So I cannot announce a winner.

Alright. Just for the information fisk finished it in about 17min. So to give the title to a mear mediocre player seems odd, but i understand there was a lot misshaps in this tournement. Hope there will be better organized next time.
